ID as a Service · by Smart Five

You print the cards.

We handle the headaches.

Your cards. Your choice of support. Choose a Smart Five-provided printer, managed support for your own compatible printer, or pay-as-you-go supplies. We help you compare the responsibilities and full commitment.

“I just need this card printed.” Sound familiar?

The ribbon has run out - someone must check stock, find the right supplies and chase the order before the next deadline.

The printer needs a repair - fault finding, parts and service calls land on your desk when you least need them.

The trained operator has left - and now someone else has to learn the software, the printer and everything that goes wrong.

With IDaaS, you have a team for that.

Three ways to implement IDaaS with Smart Five

Fleet Partner - a printer with a managed programme. Smart Five provides the fleet printer. The monthly programme includes cloud card issuance, consumables for your agreed card volume, support, printer service and maintenance. Discuss the setup and responsibilities you want Smart Five to manage.

Standard - your printer, with managed support around it. You own a compatible printer. The monthly managed service includes cloud card issuance, agreed-volume consumables, support, printer maintenance and service. We confirm compatibility and the service scope for your printer before you decide.

Pay as you go - own the printer and buy supplies as needed. You own a compatible printer and purchase consumables when you need them. Printer upkeep remains your responsibility. We confirm the IDaaS software and support arrangements, and the operational work your team will manage.

Compare the full commitment.

Each proposal confirms printer suitability, volumes, allowances, setup and training, exclusions, support and responsibilities. An existing printer is not automatically compatible. IDaaS is an agreed 4-6 year exclusive relationship; We compare the full cost over the term, not only a monthly amount.

An enquiry is not a commitment.

Before you ask Hermann

How long is the commitment? IDaaS is a long-term partnership - typically four to six years, with Smart Five as your exclusive card-printing supplier. Your proposal sets out the full commitment over the term, so you can take it through your own approval process.

Will it cost less than owning our printer? That depends on your volumes and current costs. Compare the full picture - equipment, software, supplies, repairs, training and the time your team spends managing them. Hermann will help you compare like for like.

What if the printer stops working? You have a specialist to call and the service arrangements in your plan. Your proposal makes support, repair cover and any continuity arrangements clear before you decide.

Can IDaaS connect to our existing database?
IDaaS maintains its own card records in the cloud and allows importing records through CSV inputs. It does not provide a live connection to external SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL databases. If that integration is essential, tell Hermann so he can discuss alternatives.

Let's take this off your desk

What would change if your printer came with a team?

Tell Hermann what you print, how often you print and what you want to improve. You can enquire directly without taking the optional readiness check. Hermann reviews enquiries within one business day and invites suitable organisations to a discussion or demo. No obligation.

We understand if the timing is just not right as yet. We would like to check in with you in a few months to see if there has been any change in your situation. No obligation.
